Joanne was an old high school close friend who found me on facebook two years ago. I was her maid-of-honor when she was married a couple of years after we graduated. We hadn't seen each other for over 30 years, and quite coincidentally when she found me, we happened to be living in exactly neighboring towns.

Joanne was still one of the sweetest, funniest, most generous and loving women I have ever been blessed to know, and our reunion was as if we were never apart. She retained all her youthful qualities, and brightened the lives of all she encountered. I can't imagine why God took her away from us so soon, except to give her the ultimate peace and happiness she so deserved, and to reunite her with her parents who she missed so much. She so loved all of her sisters and brothers, and expecially, her son. Whether one was family or friend, she had a way of letting you know she loved you with all of her heart.

When I expressed my fear of my husband (someday) passing, she said with her usual humor and exuberance "you've always got me!". I will especially miss all the smiles she brought to my face.

I love you so much Joanne, and I will miss you until I see you again.

Love always
Sue
I remembered Joanne in High School as being so friendly and always smiling...I ran into her about a year ago and then again a few months ago. We spoke about the days gone by and as always, she told every story with abundent excitement. We spoke about getting together with our class ( outside any official reunion)..Sadly, she was taken from us...Can't think of any HS memories without thinking of her...
I ran into Joanne about 2 years ago..Found out we lived only a few blocks apart...Saw her again in May and as always, she greeted me with a big hug..She was a caring friend and a loving mother...She will be missed....As long as re can reminice about our High School days, she will always be with us...Until we meet again Joanne....
